This little known battle took place in Mount Holly a few days before Trenton. The Iron Works Hill event is a re-enactment of a diversionary battle that kept another 1500 Hessians from supporting those that were in Trenton. Due to the efforts of the militia and IIRC a Virginia \\">Regiment\, Col. von Donop kept his forces in and around Mount Holly instead of moving to Trenton.
